Who's Who

Aquav Scuba Diving School Admin

Jeff Sung Administration

I have been diving for fifteen years now, I am a PADI master scuba diver with over 900 logged dives, and completed numerous PADI specialities.

Through the club Aquaventurers and with the help of club members Paul and Glynn I organise trips for the club and club nights out to socialise.

I organise liveaboard trips for the club and over the past few years I have also been sorting out courses for divers wanting to complete PADI specialities. I have now taken on the role of admin for the AquaV scuba diving school, which involves sorting out prices, timings, dates and locations, this skill comes naturally to me after serving nine years in the army as an N.C.O

Diving has introduced me to new people and I have made many close friends within the dive community. I find divers come from an array of different backgrounds and for me scuba diving is about meeting new people and having fun, besides the diving.

Hope to see you soon!

I am also a technical dive instructor qualified to teach up to tech 45.

I enjoy meeting new divers, teaching them new skills, and I am always on hand to encourage and support you to develope your scuba diving skills over the years.

Scuba diving has introduced me to many new friends, and taken me diving all over the world. I look forward to meeting you, and hopefully scuba diving will open your eyes to the wonders of our underwater world.

Tony Curtin PADI Staff Instructor

I started diving 9 yrs ago and soon realised my passion for the sport was in teaching and to help others experience the underwater adventure of diving.

I teach to the highest standards and always have time and patience for beginners.

I am also a very keen Wreck and Technical Diver.

AquaV Scuba Diving School Instructor

Ian Mullen Dive Master (DSD Leader)

I completed my open water in 2007 with Ste through Aquaventur , and from then on I was hooked. Now with over 400 dives under my belt, I have passed many specialities including dry suit, PPB, Night, Wreck, Deep, Navigation, Rescue and Enriched Air.

I think the most enjoyable and rewarding course I have competed has to be the rescue course, I would recommend this to any one, this led me to complete my Dive Master.

The highlight of my diving, apart from the nights out of course! have been some of the trips organised by Jeff and Glynn to Egypt, Anglesey, Plymouth and Scotland to name but a few. My best experience to date has been working with Paul Rose on a clean-up at Lake Windermere. This was with all the lads from the club which got us all on the news.

AquaV Scuba Diving School First Aid Trainer

Paula Burner First Aid Instructor

I have over 10 year experience teaching first aid, qualifying as an Emergency First Response Instructor in 2005 and a PADI Dive Master and EFR Instructor Trainer in 2008.

I have a passion for teaching first aid and believe everyone should have training in basic first aid skills.

AquaV Scuba Diving School Insturctor

Alan Preston Assistant Instructor

I have been diving now for over 14 years all with AquaV, starting with my open water and going on to be an assistant instructor.

The enjoyment I get out of teaching people is seeing them when they first enter the water being very nervous and not knowing what to do and then seeing them in a couple of months time excited and hering about their own diving adventures.

AquaV female Scuba Diving School instructor

Sammy Beal Instructor

I qualifying as an instructor in 2008, and there are not many places in the world I haven't dived. I specialise in Hyperbaric Medicine, being a dive medic and paramedic myself I work all over the world on vessels and rigs. surrounded by the ocean.

I didn’t choose my career, my career chose me from first time I dipped my toe in the big blue ocean that mother nature created when I was a baby I resalised "The ocean is my life" Everywhere there is life, there is water, we need the ocean to survive, we are all connected by the ocean and it is the most magical mysterious and exciting adventure all rolled into one.

The colours, the fish and the stories; unless you are a diver, you won’t understand the life of a diver.

I feel privileged in order as an instructor to Influence the next generation, there is no TV, no IPAD, no social media that will show you, allow you to feel or experience the emotion that the ocean gives you, so grab a mask and come and experience life underwater with us!
